Nov 16, 2016 Week 3 Day 16

I had another check up today with Dr Habash.  He said the wound care is going good and it looks great.  Keep up the same treatment and he will see me in a month.  I can now move my arms in all directions and resume all normal activities, with the 10 lb. limit on lifting.  I can start using my abs under normal circumstances, but no strength training yet.  I am so excited to be recovering so well.  Well off to walk on the treadmill.  Hopefully a mile straight today.

I re-read a few of the blogs on the internet and most were still in pain and taking pain medication at least at night on Day 16.   That is completely normal.  I have a very high pain threshold and have not taken anything but Tylenol at night since I got out of the hospital.  Please do think that still having pain is not normal.  I think I am the abnormal one here.

I get to start massaging my abdominal scar today.  Very gently and when all of the scabs have fallen off then I can use some oil and start deep massaging to break of the adhesions that are keeping it from being loose.  This is going to be a long process but I really feel that the journey will be worth it.

By now you know the routine of the pictures.

Left breast wound.  Pink skin means healing.  Green/yellow is dead tissue.
