Time is what it takes to heal a wound. In just a day the T junction wound is so much smaller and the other one is not quite as deep as yesterday. I guess the saying “time heals all wounds” is the perfect saying for me today.
Have a great day.

Smaller and looking better all around it.Not quite so deep a wound now
The picture below will show the dead skin in the hole, but actually the back of the hole has started to close. I think I am getting good at wound care. Not a talent that I actually wanted. Must keep my thoughts funny so I can get through this again.
We did enjoy some wonderful fireworks last night. I so love the 4th of July. One of my favorite holidays.
I sent a picture to the PA at Dr. Habash’s office and she is not too worried about it. She said to keep up my care and it should be fine.
So I will continue what I am doing and I know it will heal. I am feeling better and my sides only hurt in the morning when I get up. I guess being still for 8 hours makes them angry. I only take Tylenol or Advil at night. I am still wearing my compression bottoms. I can not take anything compressing my breast scars so during the day I wear a loose fitting bra and at night I wrap them in a large ace bandage making sure that it is not covering the wounds. Seems to work.
I know I made the right decision about all of this procedure, but I am looking forward to the day that it is all healed and I can have a normal routine once again.

The left small wound is healing nicely and the middle one will just take some time
Well another day of wound care. From the picture you can see the small wound on the left corner of the T junction and the far right of the picture you can see the incision seam also has the telltale sign of a wound.
I am not too discouraged since they are nothing like the last time, just disappointed that it happened again. Old stretched out skin speaks is mind again.

The top part of the incision is healing nicely. This is where the old scar was from the previous wound healing issue
Well the left side is under wound care. The green tissue is small and at the 3 point intersection at the bottom of my breast. I hope that I caught it early enough and that it will close soon. I also have a small hole near the top of the incision. It is red so there is no dead skin at this time.
Everything else looks good. Only 2 more weeks of 24 hour compression. I think that is the worst part of this part of my recovery. My rib case is on the large side and my ribs are so sore from being compressed all of the time.

Right side is such a good girl. Almost healed. You can see the small red hold that has developed. There is the green/yellow dead skin. It is small and I hope by starting wound care will keep it that way. Another view.
Dr. Habash is pleased with the way everything is looking. He said the swelling will go down, but it takes time. He feels like my left breast is doing OK but to keep an eye on it. I will see him in a month for my last visit.
He liked the compression garment I was wearing and asked what kind it was. It came from Walmart. I sent him the information. It is nice to contribute information that can possible help another person, especially since this garment is only $13.00.

Angry bottom side looks better today.Seems to be healing but I question it.I think that the left side just wants extra attention.
Well my left breast is trying to not heal. I am starting the wound care routine just in case. I have a Dr appt. tomorrow so we will see what Dr Habash has to say.

Angry underside of my left breastLooks like I might be starting wound care again.Left Breast
It has been a week that I will never forget. I feel better about this part of the surgery now. I actually waited until today to write the past weeks posts. I kept notes but was in so much pain I did not want to scare anyone away from this part of the surgery. I will admit that it was far more painful than I thought it would be, but as I now start seeing the results, it was worth it. I know that I have at least 3 or 4 months before all of the swelling will be gone, but with the pain lessening and the bruising going away, it is now OK.
I do have a new bruise at my lower sternum. It is quite a bruise. Hurts a little but manageable with Tylenol. I will probably be on Tylenol for at least a week more.
I can see the lipo marks now on my tummy. I have a Dr. appt. on Wed and hopefully he can tell me what to do to lessen these marks

Almost gone on my lower sides.I can now see the lipo marks on the left of the picture. Hopefully the compression garment will make them go away. The Sternum bruise is getting bigger, but the breast bruising is going down.
Today I am actually leaving the house. I have been cooped up for 4 days and I need some fresh air, even though it is hot outside. Walking should be good for me. The constant pain is gone and as long as I do not rub or touch my sides I am fine. I slept better last night also. Everything is almost green instead of red and black from bruising.
